Act Two @ Levine, Music Theater Department Chair
Kevin W. Kuchar (Musical Theater) is thrilled to join the faculty of the Levine School of Music. While studying theatre at Viterbo University, Kuchar studied vocal performance privately under Dean Witz (Chicago Lyric Opera.) For the past five years, Kuchar served as the founding Artistic Director for Act Two Performing Arts where he directed nearly three dozen full scale productions, concerts, and plays including award winning productions of Blood Brothers, Jekyll and Hyde, Oliver, Parade and Sweeney Todd. As a teaching artist, he offers master classes in "Character study" and "Principals of Auditioning" for theatre programs throughout the DC metropolitan area. Several of his private students have been accepted into highly selective undergraduate theatre programs, including Carnegie Mellon, NYU, Northwestern, U-Arts, Michigan and others. Kuchar also has directed productions for the DC Actors Center, Adventure Theatre, the Holton Arms School's Center of the Arts, and the Capital Fringe Festival, among others, and he serves as a member of the Theater faculty at Georgetown Preparatory School.
