Come explore our year round classes and programs in classical music, jazz, rock, musical theatre, folk and so much more! At Levine, we come together in music.

Levine’s Students

Levine students, range from babies to near-centenarians, ages 4 months to 100 years, and can be found all around DC, Maryland and Virginia, experiencing and making music as beginners, adult amateurs, and conservatory-bound teenagers. Their common trait? A passion for music.

Levine’s Faculty

Levine’s faculty is a group of professional artists of the highest caliber, representing multiple countries and cultures. As adept at performing as they are at teaching, they are universally committed to inspiring and developing our students.

Teaching Philosophy

Campuses

Levine’s four campuses are easily reached and conveniently located throughout the area, in NW and SE Washington, Bethesda, MD and Arlington, VA. All four are great places to meet other music students and be part of a musical community. Campuses are open until 9:00 PM most weeknights and on Saturdays as well.

Ensembles

Levine’s ensembles provide opportunities at every campus to enjoy making music with other musicians and learn ensemble skills.

Student Performance Opportunities

Levine students perform in more than 70 recitals each year. From beginner recitals on our campuses, to stages at the Kennedy Center and the Music Center at Strathmore, students of all ages and abilities can hone their performance skills and gain confidence performing in front of an audience.

Preeminent visiting artists become teachers at Levine, giving students unparalleled learning opportunities. Past master class artists have included: Lang Lang, Emerson String Quartet, Lambert Orkis, Menahem Pressler, Yo-Yo Ma, Emanuel Ax, The King's Singers, Lady Jeanne Galway, Imani Winds, Manuel Barrueco, Denyce Graves, David Russell, and O|A|R.

Levine Presents

Levine is proud to offer a remarkable series of free and low cost performances, recognized for breadth, excellence and imagination. Levine presents performers of artistic brilliance in an intimate and friendly community setting.
