  • We are offering Camp at St Barts for Session II only.

Join us as we hop across the pond to explore the music, arts, dance and culture of the British Isles: England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man and many smaller islands!

Music: from madrigals to Benjamin Britten to folk to sea shanties to Celtic to the Beatles to Punk
Instruments: Bagpipe, harp, penny whistle, fife, drum, fiddle, squeeze box and the hurdy gurdy!
Dance: reels, Strathspeys, hornpipes, jigs, Irish Dance, Caleidh
Music Theater:
Andrew L Webber, Gilbert & Sullivan, John Williams, Elton John, Tim Rice
Art: ancient Celtic to watercolors to Wallace and Gromit plasticine figures!
Literature: Shakespeare to A.A.Milne to Roald Dahl to J.K. Rowling

Discover something new in familiar territory as we travel to the lands of the British Isles.  Campers will have fun learning new music from over a thousand abundant years of song and dance and theater, exploring the ancient cultures of Scotland, Ireland and Wales, maybe cultivating a proper English accent, and hopefully uncovering some new discoveries about Britain.  With the Olympics in London this year, it’s a great opportunity to revel in the past and the future as only the Brits can.

With the Olympics in London this year, we thought you’d all enjoy a trip back to the birthplace of the English-language and the opportunity to explore the roots and influences of today’s music.  We’ll have a Ceilidh, go searching for leprechaun’s and might even enjoy some tea and crumpets along the way.
