Commissioned by Nikolai Bernard, editor of the musical periodical Le Nouvelliste, the story behind the creation of this piece will captivate you and the fanciful titles, poetic mottos, and of course the music will delight you. Performed by pianist and Levine faculty artist Efi Hackmey.
Ticket holders will have special access to pre-concert museum and garden self-guided touring beginning at 6:00 PM.

In recognition of Hillwood founder Marjorie Post’s philanthropic support of classical music and the museum’s comprehensive collection of Russian Imperial art, Levine and Hillwood will offer two performances featuring Russian composers during the 2012-13 season. The second performance will be Sergei Diaghilev - Ballet Russe on March 23, 2013.
