Private Lessons

Private Instruction at Levine is available for students of all ages and levels and includes the following benefits:

• For new Levine students, we take the time and care to arrange individual placement interviews to match you with the right teacher to meet your individual musical needs and goals.
• Regular evaluation through Levine’s twice yearly jury program.
• An opportunity to work with professional accompanists for rehearsals and performances.
• A variety of student performance opportunities at Levine and chances to represent Levine within the community.
• Opportunities to attend Levine Presents events, including master classes, concerts,
  special programs and workshops.

Private lesson applications may be submitted anytime. Private Lessons can begin anytime during the school year.

Registration Forms & Information

 To begin the placement process, review the Determining Readiness for Private Lessons document, Tuition & Fees and Policies and Procedures (see below) and then fill out the Online Private Lesson Application or fill out the Private Lesson Application (PDF) (not the registration form) and send or fax it to the Admissions Office. Students will be placed by the Chair of each department, as availability permits. Each 36-week academic year includes 34 lessons and 2 evaluation juries.  

After placement with a teacher has been confirmed (with an established day, time and lesson duration), complete and submit the Registration Form with appropriate fees and tuition or register online.
